The PQP-0500-TD is 6 pcs. pack of TUSQ Teardrop shaped picks.

They come in various gauges: 0.88mm, 1.00mm, and 1.40mm thickness.

They also come in various tones: Bright (white color), Warm (vintage cream color), and Deep (gray color).

The type of pick you use affects the tone you create. That's why we created TUSQ picks, the world's first and only pick with a built-in tone. By formulating various composite materials, we created a new class of picks with highly resonant characteristics that produce three distinctive tones: Bright, Warm, and Deep.

TUSQ picks have a high stiffness-to-thickness ratio, like real tortoise shells but with a harmonic content, only TUSQ can deliver. Experience a smooth, balanced feel and a clean articulate attack. With TUSQ in your pick, a great tone is in your hands. Now you can choose your gauge, your shape, and now your tone.

What is the Difference in TUSQ Materials?

TUSQ

TUSQ nuts have a rich tone without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone, and other natural materials. Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain) throughout each piece, hampering the consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top. TUSQ nuts are designed to transfer the right frequencies more efficiently from the string to the guitar body.

Best for Acoustic Guitars.

TUSQ XL and Black TUSQ XL

TUSQ XL and Black TUSQ XL nuts are designed to boost guitar tone and performance. These precision-engineered nuts are made with a specially formulated material that couples the strings' vibrations to the neck and brings out the hidden harmonics and richness in every note. It is based on the highly resonant TUSQ man-made ivory but is impregnated with PTFE to improve the tuning performance of the guitar.

Best for Electric Guitars and BASS.

    I love them

They are hard, sharp, quick and responsive. I need nothing more from a guitar pick.

An asset in playing and playing style.

I really like these picks for Acoustic work.

And the fact that I can get an assortment of shapes and thicknesses, which I can continue to experiment with, is a great asset in developing my playing and my playing style.

    Excellent picks!

I've been using TUSQ picks for a few years now - love 'em! They're slippery across strings, break in quickly, and impart some extra character (i.e. harmonic richness) depending on the color you choose. Specifically, the white picks are loud, highly responsive, and add a pleasant brightness to pick strokes and strums.

A special request to GraphTech: please introduce a teardrop shape that's closer in size to the standard TUSQ picks. I played Dunlop Jazz III XL's before making the switch, and I miss having the option to size up to a sharp pick shape that's more traditionally sized.

    Great picks

These were smaller than I expected and I had never used this size pick. I worried about stability but it wasn’t an issue. They are comfortable with nice action. I’m always playing with different pick styles and such. For context I’m an older beginner, Been playing for a couple of years now, so a more seasoned musician may have different thoughts, but I find these pretty easy to use and I get good tone with them.
