The 6011-00 is the perfect option to replace and upgrade the nut on your Gibson electric guitar made post-2014 and any similar guitars.

It is slightly taller than the PQL-6010-00 (pre-2014). When in doubt, use this one, you can always sand the bottom of the nut to adjust it lower.

What is the Difference in TUSQ Materials?

TUSQ nuts have a rich tone without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone, and other natural materials. Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain) throughout each piece, hampering the consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top. TUSQ nuts are designed to transfer the right frequencies more efficiently from the string to the guitar body.

Best for Acoustic Guitars.

TUSQ XL and Black TUSQ XL nuts are designed to boost guitar tone and performance. These precision-engineered nuts are made with a specially formulated material that couples the strings' vibrations to the neck and brings out the hidden harmonics and richness in every note. It is based on the highly resonant TUSQ man-made ivory but is impregnated with PTFE to improve the tuning performance of the guitar.

Best for Electric Guitars and BASS.

I just installed this in a 2017 Gibson Les Paul Studio. I've always played Gibsons for the wider, shorter neck scale, which fits my hands and fingers better. But I've always been frustrated with the tuning issues inherent in this design. The Tusq XL is brighter with way better sustain than the stock nut. And I can finally keep the G string in tune for a whole song! The string spacing on the Tusq XL was slightly wider, and the pre-slotted string slots are shallower than the stock set up, so hand sanding to match the height and width of the original still left my action way too high, which I compensated at the bridge. I'm no luthier, & still working to dial in the action and intonation, but it's already a huge improvement for this guitar. Recommended!

Used this on my Gibson hummingbird and it gave it more high end and a crisp tone which was what I was looking for..
