What is the Difference in TUSQ Materials?

TUSQ

TUSQ nuts have a rich tone without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone, and other natural materials. Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain) throughout each piece, hampering the consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top. TUSQ nuts are designed to transfer the right frequencies more efficiently from the string to the guitar body.

    My Favourite

    This replacement for the Gibson Zero Fret couldn’t be easier to install. You literally drop it in place of the Brass or titanium one you are looking to replace and it will instantly give you an increased sustain. You only need to loosen the strings and pop it in. Possibly a twist of the set screws to set your desired string height. Easy as that.

    Graph Tech has been my go to for years now. Anytime I want to increase the tonal quality or sustain on a guitar/bass you can not go wrong with their products. Also I have replaced most of my tuners with the Ratio tuners from them as well locking and or non locking

    They are just the best and most advanced tuners I have found period.

    A true WOW

    Easy to install, the nut replaced the brass nut in my Les Paul 100 Traditional in seconds. The result was a sweeter tone with sustain for days. The sustain was so pronounced that I checked my amp to be sure I hadn't increased reverb or added tremolo. It helped me to hear with my ears the tone I hear in my head. This nut is one of my best investments... and it didn't really cost a lot. Replacing the adjustable brass nut with the adjustable Tusq nut gave me the best of both worlds: precise adjustment and sweet tone. This should be standard on all Gibsons.
