What is the Difference in TUSQ Materials?

TUSQ

TUSQ nuts have a rich tone without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone, and other natural materials. Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain) throughout each piece, hampering the consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top. TUSQ nuts are designed to transfer the right frequencies more efficiently from the string to the guitar body.

    Self-Lubricating Teflon® From Now On!!

    Had my guitar tech install the white Graph Tech® "TUSQ XL / Model 7004-00" String Glides on BOTH my 2024 Player II Stratocasters™, along with a TUSQ Nut (Slotted) Model # 5000-00 on Stratocaster™ #1 [top headstock in photo #2].

    I'm a Graph Tech® customer for life!

    I added a set of Fender® "Locking Tuners" (the model with the "staggered-height" string posts), and I like to add a drop of Big Bends® Nut Sauce™ for good measure ...

    ... and I land in DIVE BOMB CITY!!!!

    Great replacement for metal trees

    I installed these at the same time as a TUSQ XL nut to address strings catching and making my Squier Strat go out of tune every time I used the Tremolo. Excellent solution to the problem. Now the strings aren't catching and it stays in tune!

    Excellent string tress

    I put them on every telecaster and Stratocaster I have. It gets rid of those nasty metal string trees that gets stuck on the string, smooth feel and stays in tune beautifully.
