Model 1650-00 Nut Slotted L42.01mm (Select Material)

The 1650-00 provided for just a slightly tighter string spacing than the nut that came new on the Nash (barely detectable), but the objective was to draw-in the low E and the high E strings just a smidge from the edge of the fretboard and fret ends. I was having issues when playing, the low E string would fall off the edge of the fretboard. I tried to address the issue with bridge adjustments, but the original nut slots had the strings too close to the edge of the fret ends, and was the dominant factor. So with this nut, and some micro adjustments at the bridge, the strings run perfectly down the fretboard. After carefully sanding the nut to proper string height for the low/high E strings at Fret 1, the pre-slotted nut glides put the A/D/G/B strings perfectly on the fretboard radius - so zero slot filing was needed!! Quite simply put, this modification made all the difference in the world in the way this instrument feels and now inspires me to create music.
