What are the String Saver and TUSQ Materials in Saddles?

String Saver saddles are made with a unique combination of materials made to enhance tone and dramatically reduce string breakage. Each saddle is permanently lubricated.

Lubrication formula in String Savers eases the grip between the saddle and string, spreading the stress over a greater portion of the string, just enough to drastically reduce string breakage.

Our patented String Saver Originals are made entirely of our String Saver material and give you a very balanced tone across the spectrum. People who were breaking one or two strings a night have contacted us after using String Savers and are amazed that they go weeks and months without breaking a string!

String Saver Classics are made with an extremely high quality steel saddle with our patented String Saver material inserted in the string ramp. String Saver Classics preserve the classic look of a metal saddles while freeing you from the problem of breaking strings.

TUSQ Saddles have a rich tone without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone, and other natural materials. Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain) throughout each piece, hampering the consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top. TUSQ saddles are designed to transfer the right frequencies more efficiently from the string to the guitar body.

    Improvement over stock

I put the graph deck saddles on all my guitars, whether or not I used the ghost battles. Material makes for a better playing experience. My only complaint, is that the wires on this paddles are very delicate, and I have broken enough of them to know to have an extra one laying right don't be nice around. I'm a bit of the gorilla, so which is much my fault.

Excellent for Parker fly replacement !

Thanks Graphtech for producing saddles for the Parkerfly, I’m sure many more Parkerfly users would want this product. Hope you can promote it more so Parker users know this exist. Some don’t yet. It’s perfect since Parker has no existing parts available anymore and they closed down. Cheers!

Great enhancement for my Parker Nitefly SA

When one of the Piezo saddles on my Parker Nitefly SA stopped functioning, my local guitar tech at Colfax Guitar Shop in Denver (awesome!) recommended replacing the OEM set with GraphTechs. I couldn't be more pleased. The GraphTech saddles sound wonderful, look near-original, and were surprisingly inexpensive to purchase and install. No regrets whatsoever.

    dull sound and rattles

Sounds quite dull on magnetic pickups and the strings seem to rattle about in the saddles you can hear it more when you choose the piezo setting
