The type of pick you use affects the tone you create. That's why we created TUSQ picks, the world's first and only pick with a built-in tone.

By formulating various composite materials, we created a whole new class of picks with highly resonant characteristics that produce three distinctive tones: Bright, Warm, and Deep.

TUSQ picks have a high stiffness-to-thickness ratio, like a real tortoise shell but with a harmonic content, only TUSQ can deliver. Experience a smooth, balanced feel and a clean articulate attack. With TUSQ in your pick, a great tone is in your hands. Now you can choose your gauge, your shape, and now your tone.

Bi-Angle-shaped picks.

Gauges: 0.88mm, 1.00mm, and 2.00mm thickness.

Various tones: Bright (white color), Warm (vintage cream color), and Deep (gray color).

What is the Difference in TUSQ Materials?

TUSQ

TUSQ nuts have a rich tone without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone, and other natural materials. Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain) throughout each piece, hampering the consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top. TUSQ nuts are designed to transfer the right frequencies more efficiently from the string to the guitar body.

Best for Acoustic Guitars.

TUSQ XL and Black TUSQ XL

TUSQ XL and Black TUSQ XL nuts are designed to boost guitar tone and performance. These precision-engineered nuts are made with a specially formulated material that couples the strings' vibrations to the neck and brings out the hidden harmonics and richness in every note. It is based on the highly resonant TUSQ man-made ivory but is impregnated with PTFE to improve the tuning performance of the guitar.

Best for Electric Guitars and BASS.

    TUSQ Bi-Angle Picks

This size pick is what I've been using for decades, no matter what the brand, though these are much heavier than what I typically use, but they were the thinest I found on the site. I did not like the way any of them sounded and found they slowed me down. I found them to be just too thick and rigid to yield an acceptable tone from any of my guitars. I typically use .5 mm-.75mm thickness picks made from a more traditional material. I think GraphTech is a quality company, but I just couldn't find a way to like these picks.

I like them. They are easy to hold onto and I like the tri-tone I can get from tne different ends.

    Fantastic PIcks

Until I tried these TUSQ picks I didn't realize what a difference a pick could make to my playing ease and sound. I have jars of picks and now I use only my TUSQ picks.
