What is the Difference in TUSQ Materials?

TUSQ

TUSQ nuts have a rich tone without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone, and other natural materials. Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain) throughout each piece, hampering the consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top. TUSQ nuts are designed to transfer the right frequencies more efficiently from the string to the guitar body.

    Black Tusq XL Nut

    Second one I’ve bought, use the first one on a les paul with a Bigsby. Do mostly pull-ups and vibrato, guitar stays in tune very well.

    Great nuts!!!

    Graph tech helped me get the correct nut for my Agile Les Paul before I bought anything. I purchased 2 of the nuts they recommended ( glad I got 2), this was my first attempt at replacing the nut. I screwed the first one up ( totally my fault). The second one I got right. They are a top notch company and top notch quality products. Will definitely be buying from them again.
