The 6060-00 is the perfect option to replace and upgrade the nut on your Epiphone-Style guitar made before 2014.  After 2014, they got a little taller, our 6061-00. when in doubt, get a 6061, as you can sand a littel extra off  the bottom to adjust the height.

It is also a great option for many other common acoustic and electric guitars.

It comes pre-slotted to make for a quick and easy install.

What is the Difference in TUSQ Materials?

TUSQ

TUSQ nuts have a rich tone without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone, and other natural materials. Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain) throughout each piece, hampering the consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top. TUSQ nuts are designed to transfer the right frequencies more efficiently from the string to the guitar body.

Best for Acoustic Guitars.

TUSQ XL and Black TUSQ XL

TUSQ XL and Black TUSQ XL nuts are designed to boost guitar tone and performance. These precision-engineered nuts are made with a specially formulated material that couples the strings' vibrations to the neck and brings out the hidden harmonics and richness in every note. It is based on the highly resonant TUSQ man-made ivory but is permanently lubricated to improve the tuning performance of the guitar.

Best for Electric Guitars and BASS.

    nut replacement

I bought a left-handed flying V a couple weeks ago. I play with the string's setup for a right-handed player. yep, I'm weird, but that's how I learned. With that I need to either use glue and files to fix the current nut or just buy a righty nut. I opted for replacement. This nut, with a little sanding (slot was a little smaller than this new nut), it dropped right in. I do like the idea of permanent lubrication too, so there you go! Thanks guys.

    TUSQ Nut

I bought this nut to upgrade a single cut guitar. I have TUSQ nuts factory installed on some of my guitars and they are amazing for tuning stability. I love the aged look of the nut I bought as well.

    Tusq XL for Epi ES-339

This nut added another level of tone quality from the stock nut on my 2012 Epiphone ES-339 Pro guitar. Notes now have a richer musicality...the nut removed muddiness from all pitch frequencies.

The TUSQ was a slightly oversized height which allowed me to shave the bottom to my preference. Ends also needed a small trim (.010-.015) to flush with neck.

    New nut on a Takamine G Series / model : EG350SC

I have used a Graphtec Black Tusq nut on a friend's electric guitar with surprisingly good results, so when all of my personal and highly modified guitars were stolen,

I was left with an old project Acoustic /Electric guitar to play if I can resurrect it from what most people would consider trash !

This provides me with the opportunity to install and test mods I have done for other people on a guitar I will use myself.

The plenary installation of the nut and Ratio Tuning Macines were a snap and turned out well. I am at the point that I need to do some very minor shaping on the nut to integrate it smoothly with the neck.

Then I can start roughing in the action.

I am excited to get this guitar playable but it's going so well so far that I don't want to rush it!
