Model 6041-00 Nut Slotted L40.90mm (Select Material)

I bought the TuskXL in black for my almost new secondhand Yamaha Pacifica 112Vand had a luthier install it together with Graphtec string trees with a genral setup. The luthier mentioned that the new nut was a tad smaller than the actual guitar neck .. so he postioned it with the strings lining through straight as best he could. It is advertised for the Pacifica ( unless it's actually referring to the next Pacifica up in the range) so it's a little unusual for it to be slightly small. He also showed me a video he made while installing it illustrating that the strings seem to move a little within the actual nut slot.. maybe this is intended. The guitar plays well, I'm expecting the general tuning to hold well (don t plan to use the whammy bar) and the new extra string tree (along with one to replace the original Yamha chrome offering) greatly improves the string break angle which means according to the luthier that I wont need to wind a lot of string on the tuning pegs at re-string time.
