Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain) throughout each piece, hampering the consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top.     The only nuts I buy!

    I couldn't be happier with TUSQ products. When I refurbish a guitar, these are the only nuts I will buy, no matter the guitar. This one went into a OLP MM1 (EVH style Music Man licensed guitar) that was in desperate need of love. It's working amazingly!

    Just what the doctor ordered!!!

    Holy Shite, what a difference!!!

    I recently got a good deal on a G&L Tribute S-500 that came with a plastic nut that was binding really bad. As if that wasn't bad enough, they superglued it in.

    After approximately three hours of carefully sawing and picking I finally got it out.

    Once I sanded a bit off of the bottom of my new TUSQ XL nut and dabbed just a tiny bit of Tightbond on it, I centered it in the trough and used the E strings to hold it in place for about 20min. then I went ahead and added the other strings and let it sit for the night.

    The next day it was like I had a totally different guitar tuning wise. Since it's a great guitar in the first place having it actually stay in tune while I'm playing it has made it extremely hard to put down.

    The self-lubricating nature of this nut really allows the Dual Fulcrum trem to shine.

    GraphTech has the reputation it does for a reason!!! I couldn't be happier, honestly.

    Great upgrade.

    I’ve upgraded all the hardware components of my guitar but I wish I had started with tusq xl. It’s produced by far the biggest overall tonal improvement over any other change I’ve made. I’ve also fitted the regular tusq nuts in the past with positive results but in my option the tone form the tusq xl’s is far better. Wish I had opted for the tusq xl sooner.
