Why change your saddle?
A guitar saddle is designed to transfer the vibrations through the bridge into the top wood of the guitar. This quick and simple upgrade will have an amazing affect on your instruments tone, harmonic content, and playability.
Compensated saddles improve the playability by correctly setting each strings intonation to help produce the best tone and performance possible. Graph Tech produces a wide range of fully compensated, partially compensated and saddle blanks and slabs.
Graph Tech has created specific materials so you can get the most our of your instrument. Whether you have an electric guitar or bass, acoustic, ukelele or mandolin, we have options for you.
TUSQ produces more harmonics in the mid and upper range of the guitars. TUSQ nuts, saddles and bridge pins have harmonically rich tone, without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone or other natural materials. Bone and Ivory have hard and soft spots (grain) throughout each piece, hampering consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top. TUSQ has been designed to transfer the right frequencies more efficiently from the strings to the guitars body.
Black TUSQ XL is permanently lubricated for improved tuning performance and boost guitar tone. These precision engineered nuts are made with a specially formulated material which couples the strings vibration to the neck and brings out the hidden harmonics and richness in every note.
NuBone is a derivative of TUSQ and has a lot of the same tonal characteristics. Like all Graph Tech materials, it is completely consistent from piece to piece and within each piece. NuBone has a very similar tone to TUSQ, not quite the volume or the hardness of TUSQ but at half the cost.
