The 4 pcs. pack of TUSQ Bi-Angle shaped picks.

They come in a variety of gauges: 0.88mm, 1.00mm, and 2.00mm thickness.

They also come in various tones: Bright (white color), Warm (vintage cream color), and Deep (gray color).

The type of pick you use affects the tone you create. That's why we created TUSQ picks, the world's first and only pick with a built-in tone. By formulating various composite materials, we created a whole new class of picks with highly resonant characteristics that produce three distinctive tones: Bright, Warm, and Deep.

TUSQ picks have a high stiffness-to-thickness ratio, like real tortoise shells but with a harmonic content, only TUSQ can deliver. Experience a smooth, balanced feel and a clean articulate attack. With TUSQ in your pick, a great tone is in your hands. Now you can choose your gauge, your shape, and now your tone.

What is the Difference in TUSQ Materials?

TUSQ

TUSQ nuts have a rich tone without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone, and other natural materials. Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain) throughout each piece, hampering the consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top. TUSQ nuts are designed to transfer the right frequencies more efficiently from the string to the guitar body.

Best for Acoustic Guitars.

TUSQ XL and Black TUSQ XL

TUSQ XL and Black TUSQ XL nuts are designed to boost guitar tone and performance. These precision-engineered nuts are made with a specially formulated material that couples the strings' vibrations to the neck and brings out the hidden harmonics and richness in every note. It is based on the highly resonant TUSQ man-made ivory but is permanently lubricated to improve the tuning performance of the guitar.

Best for Electric Guitars and BASS.

    Killer picks

I have a baggie full of picks, some of them pricey, but the graphtechs have become my go-to.

Perfectly fine, just not my sound

These are nice picks but all types are noticeably brighter sounding than good old celluloid picks. I was looking for a darker sound and these don't do that. Good looking stuff, though.

Thanks for the honest feedback, Ronaldo! You're absolutely right that TUSQ Bright and Warm picks have a brighter tone compared to celluloid - that's the nature of the material. TUSQ tends to bring out more clarity and brightness, which is great for some players but definitely not what you're looking for if you want that warmer, darker celluloid sound. But I'm surprised you didn't warm up to the Deep Tone, charcoal colored pick, it's pretty warm and deep. Anyways, I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience since tone preference is so personal and this kind of feedback helps other guitarists know what to expect. Thanks for giving them a try and for the fair review!

    Great design, feel and sound

So nice to have many more tusq picks in my guitar cases. I have never tried the Bi-Angle picks. I find them easy to hold and get the sound that I like.

    Impressive

I was actually shocked by how smooth these picks glide across the strings if they did not have the raised lettering I suspect they would become too slick to hold grip but with the raise lettering there is no slippage at all. I like the fact that some of them are brighter or others or a little more warmer tone when picking. These pics do actually glide very easily across the strings, and I will be purchasing more of them.
