    1. Measure your nut length, thickness, and height (highest portion)
    2. Use filters to sort the length needed (use a wider range first to see more options)
    3. Find the nuts that are your length or slightly longer (to sand for the final finish)
    4. Now, out of those nuts, find the correct thickness (or slightly over) and height (or slightly over)
    5. If you are buying a slotted nut, measure your current string spacing and find something close to yours
