Started with bleached bone then went to Corian and finally ended up trying this task material. Having never built or made an acoustic guitar or even thought about how they were made naturally…

Boy, how wrong I was insane ( should be “in saying” but voice recognition heard insane and I think it’s probably the better word) such things. Anyway I succeeded in the build and got lucky with the scale and bridge position not thinking about intonation once while gluing away. Buzzing sound uneven frets I began my education. Started with a bleached bone saddle and once it was over worked I replaced it with Corian. I liked it’s strength and density but it chipped easily and eventually was overworked but it did get me close. I went back online and saw the Tusk saddle and ordered it. I found it to resemble the bone saddle most but it is stronger and more like a mixture of the two materials and I think it’s a winner so far during the shaping to find the best intonation I found the leftover Tusk piece was a good way to get the best location for each strings contact point. I shaped 3 contacts on it one at the front edge one in the middle and one at the far edge basically giving me 3 points to try as far as distance to the nut goes. I tuned the string on each one as the scrap was less than a inch it was easy to slide it to the next point and re tune. I then marked the Saddle accordingly for shaping. Now it’s sound is great…
