If you have a Fender guitar or re-issue from the 1950s-60s or 70s, this is your nut! A 7.25" radius, works with a curved or flat bottom and is permanently lubricated for great tuning stability.  It works in both a flat bottom or curved bottom nut slot due to its ingenious design, sand off the tab for a curved bottom.

It is pre-slotted to make for a quick and easy install.

For just about all Fender electric guitars made in the 1950s, '60 and ’70s… that’s a lot!

The 7.25” fingerboard radius originated in the early 1950s and was used for most Fender electric instruments until the 1980s. In the 80's it was changed to a slightly flatter 9.5" radius.

What is the Difference in TUSQ Materials?

TUSQ

TUSQ nuts have a rich tone without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone, and other natural materials. Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain) throughout each piece, hampering the consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top. TUSQ nuts are designed to transfer the right frequencies more efficiently from the string to the guitar body.

Best for Acoustic Guitars.

TUSQ XL and Black TUSQ XL

TUSQ XL and Black TUSQ XL nuts are designed to boost guitar tone and performance. These precision-engineered nuts are made with a specially formulated material that couples the strings' vibrations to the neck and brings out the hidden harmonics and richness in every note. It is based on the highly resonant TUSQ man-made ivory but is permanently lubricated to improve the tuning performance of the guitar.

Best for Electric Guitars and BASS.

    Perfect fit!

I purchased the 5072-00 nut hoping the string spacing on my 1964 Fender Jaguar is the same as the 7.25r Strat and it is exactly the same. I found a 35mm film can with a 14.5" diameter to use as a sanding block. Using feeler gauges I was able to fit the nut sanding bottom only. I'll play the guitar for a week before I consider adjusting with diamond file. I play 9-42 strings and the fit is perfect as it. The guitar has more clarity and sustain. Tunes like a dream. Thank you!

    Import Stratocaster replacement

The Model 5072-00 Nut that is set up to work in a flat or curved slot on the neck is ideal for most knock off strats. It may require some light sanding to get the fit just right, but the tone and fretting is idea once that is completed. I have bought several Graph tech saddled and nuts, and have never been disappointed.

    Helps with intuneation

I could not get my G sting to intuneate on my strat with the factory Fender but. Replaced it with this and problem solved. Notes sound much tighter and crisp now.
