The 6010-00 is the perfect option to replace and upgrade the nut on your Gibson electric guitar made before 2014 or any similar guitar.

 

It is pre-slotted to make for a quick and easy install.

 

The 6011 (post-2014) is slightly taller than this nut, when in doubt, choose the 6011, as you can always sand the bottom of the nut to adjust it lower.

What is the Difference in TUSQ Materials?

    Stays In Tune Now

    After fitting the TUSQ XL 6010-00 to my guitar, I immediately noticed a fuller tone and the guitar stays in tune now. It took a bit of sanding to get the height correct but it was worth the effort. I am just an amateur guitar player with some mechanical skills. With some patience and basic tools changing the nut on your guitar to a TUSQ XL nut will make all the difference in the world!

    Not just for Gibson

    Found this nut to be a great fit for a 2019ish Yamaha FSX830C acoustic guitar, even better than stock as the string spacing of the GraphTech leaves a tad more space between high and low E strings and edges of the fretboard. Needed to take about 1mm off the bottom and a little off each side, no string binding if you cut your slots properly. The aged version of this nut blends in well with cream colored neck binding. Good clear tone and smooth playability. Would not be surprised if this works for all recently manufactured FG/FS series of Yamaha acoustics.
