The PQP-0010-ST is 6 pack of TUSQ Standard-shaped picks.

They come in various gauges: 0.68mm, 0.88mm, and 1.00mm thickness.

They also come in various tones: Bright (white color), Warm (vintage cream color), and Deep (gray color).

The type of pick you use affects the tone you create. That's why we created TUSQ picks, the world's first and only pick with a built-in tone. By formulating various composite materials, we created a new class of picks with highly resonant characteristics that produce three distinctive tones: Bright, Warm, and Deep.

TUSQ picks have a high stiffness-to-thickness ratio, like real tortoise shells but with a harmonic content, only TUSQ can deliver. Experience a smooth, balanced feel and a clean articulate attack. With TUSQ in your pick, a great tone is in your hands. Now you can choose your gauge, your shape, and now your tone.

What is the Difference in TUSQ Materials?

TUSQ nuts have a rich tone without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone, and other natural materials. Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain) throughout each piece, hampering the consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top. TUSQ nuts are designed to transfer the right frequencies more efficiently from the string to the guitar body.

Best for Acoustic Guitars.

TUSQ XL and Black TUSQ XL nuts are designed to boost guitar tone and performance. These precision-engineered nuts are made with a specially formulated material that couples the strings' vibrations to the neck and brings out the hidden harmonics and richness in every note. It is based on the highly resonant TUSQ man-made ivory but is permanently lubricated to improve the tuning performance of the guitar.

Best for Electric Guitars and BASS.

    TUSQ Mixed Pack (Standard)

This is not my first time around with TUSQ picks. Some years ago I had been using them and over time lost all I had. I tend to drop picks at rehearsal and even more during performances.

Recently after trying many other brands and thicknesses, I remembered how much I liked the TUSQ picks I once had and took a moment to order more.

I'm not settled on a particular thickness so the wise choice was the variety pack. But the choice is not clear even now because I do like these picks, no matter the gauge.

I haven't the ear to choose between deep, bright, or warm. Each sound equally good to me and I recommend them to anyone who seriously cares about tone.

    Excellent picks

Honestly, I don't hear clearly the sound difference between the three tones (deep, warm and bright); but I find the material, feel and shape very pleasant. Plus, they are different from all the picks I have used.

    Tusq picks mixed 6 pack.

Really loved them. Sharper sound playing on my Tele, than I used to get using my nylon Ibanez jazz picks I usually use on my Epi archtop jazz box

    Warm tone

Still getting a feel for the different gauges, but they provide a nice warm response.

    My new favorite pick

I had been alternating between a Dunlop Tortex and their gator grip around the 1.0 range (.96 for gator or 1.0 tortex) and both the light and dark Tusq 1.0s have now replaced them as my go tos. Comfortable to hold - even though I typically don't care for the "grippy" picks - and the sound is quite great.

I used to use the tortex for a bit more warmth/roundness and the gator for a brighter pluckier attack and now I swapped the dark for the warmth and the white for the bright/plucky sounds.

I think the middle ground yellow is a solid backup if I did need to just have one (or if I lose the others) but since I can go to either extreme with the dark and light I prefer to just do that.
