My Barney Kessel 1959 Kay needed a low profile bridge and this was the closest I could get to what I needed. I sanded the base down lower to get to where I needed it. Now it works great and my action is back to a nice height!!

Standard profile, chrome wheels. This bridge went on my 17 inch L-5 style archtop. I was looking for a more solid massive ebony bridge than was on it because I know from my mandolins that better bridges improve tone. I was unable to find such an ebony bridge with an intonated saddle so I tried this Resomax. As other reviewers have noted, the unwound strings have a greater presence with a slightly fuller tone than the cheap wooden bridge it replaced. Initially, the tone was on the bright side and harmonics were way more present. I took the time to accurately mate the bridge feet to the top with 150, then 220 grit sandpaper. IT MADE A SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT IN THE TONE. The overall tone is a bit softer and evenly balanced. It also has that smoother jazzy sound and the notes come off the top of the instrument effortlessly. Harmonics are less prominent but sustain is still stronger than with a wood bridge (note: this guitar is X braced). Taking the time to accurately mate the bridge to the top is definitely recommended.

Bought this to replace a mediocre bridge on my D'Angelico EXL-1 archtop. Works as it should. Just have to have my guitar tech to a set-up and adjustment on the guitar so I bought this to put onto it prior to servicing. Should be an awesome guitar, considering it's price, after he gets done with it.

Put it on my epiphone 1966 century re-issue which I had purchased 2nd hand. I have elbow issues so I tune down to D and capo the 2nd fret. Also use flatwound strings. Previous issues with the G string buzzing now remedied. Entire body of the guitar vibrates more, which I like. I’m very satisfied.

I bought the Graphtech archtop bridge because I lost my old one during a move. I found my old one after the one from Graphtech arrived. Tried both and chose to use the Graphtech one. It’s that good.
